About Us

Under the Myanmar Investment Commission's guidance, Mingalar Aviation Services Co. Ltd. (“Mingalar”), formerly known as Air Kanbawza Ltd. (“Air KBZ”), was established in June 2010. The establishment of this airline is to cater to the growing demands of domestic air travel in Myanmar, considering the importance of air connectivity within the country. Air KBZ gracefully transitioned into Mingalar effective 06 Jan 2024 in line with our commitment to continuous improvement. As we embark on this new chapter, we remain dedicated to providing excellent service in the aviation industry.

Taking off on its very first commercial flight on 02 Apr 2011, with initial destinations including Yangon, Nyaung-U, Mandalay, Heho & Myeik. With the support of the valued customers and dedicated employees, as of today, the airline has expanded its operation to Nay Pyi Taw, Kalay, Myitkyina, Puta-O, Lashio, Tachileik, Loikaw, Dawei, Kaw Thaung, Thandwe & Sittwe. The airline aims to serve more than 20 destinations, covering all the commercial centers of Myanmar.

Our Fleet

Our fleet is comprised of eight Airbus, four Embraer 190 and eight ATR72 aircraft. Our continued mission to develop and provide superior air transport services that will exceed customer expectations. The aircrafts are maintained at the AIR KBZ maintenance facility in Yangon. To ensure safe and comfortable flights, the standardized maintenance procedures are under the careful management and systematic supervision of the Engineering Department and Flight Operations Department.
